James “Tripp” Adams III
President/Founder
Tripp Adams founded True North Management in 1997. His construction and development career has spanned over forty nine years. Tripp’s vast experience working in the many diverse fields of construction and real estate development companies in New York, Connecticut and Colorado have made him especially proficient in understanding and implementing the dynamics of managing and organizing every aspect of the construction business from land planning, entitlements, approvals, construction, construction management, project management, Owner’s Representation and financial planning.
In the early 70’s he discovered his passion for building and development working as an apprentice carpenter quickly advancing to journeyman carpenter launching his career in custom home building. In the “go go” years of the eighties, he joined a prominent development and investment firm in New Canaan, Connecticut where he served as Senior Project and Construction Manager in charge of new development, overseeing millions of dollars of construction and property development. While serving in that capacity, he gained diverse and in-depth knowledge of commercial and residential real estate development while furthering his formal study of construction and project management while attending school in Manhattan, NY.
